Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, HYS has decided to cancel Summer Strings 2020. We look forward to making music again in a safe environment for students, faculty, staff, volunteers and our community partners.
WHAT IS SUMMER STRINGS?
Classes for beginning or intermediate violin, viola, cello or bass students.
WHO CAN JOIN?
Students who are 8 years old by June 1.
WHEN ARE THE CLASSES?
Beginning Violin/Viola/Cello/Bass: 3:45 to 4:45 pm; taught by Jeff Hamano
Intermediate Class: 5:00 – 6:00 pm; taught by Jeff Hamano
WHERE ARE CLASSES HELD?
WHAT IS A BEGINNING CLASS?
The beginning class is designed for students who have no previous experience. You must be 8 years old by June 1. You may choose to learn violin, viola, cello, or bass.
WHAT IS AN INTERMEDIATE CLASS?
The intermediate class is designed for string students who have at least one year of experience on a string instrument. You must be 8 years old by June 1.
